The uniform is part of the service

14 May 2025

Hotel lobby prepared for guest arrivals

Guests read a team before anyone says a word. The uniform is the opening line.

What a uniform says

A pressed, well-fitted uniform says someone cared. A creased or ill-fitting one says the opposite, no matter how good the service that follows. It also tells guests, at a glance, who to ask and who is in charge.

  • Fit and condition checked before every shift
  • Name tags and role markers in place
  • Grooming standards agreed with the client in advance
  • Spares on hand for the unexpected

Presentation is a team habit

We brief presentation with the same seriousness as service: what is worn, how it is worn and how it holds up through a long day. When a venue has its own uniform, the team wears it to the client's standard, not ours.

A uniform does not make a team. A team that takes care of it shows how it will take care of the guest.

Put it in the brief

Dress code belongs in the briefing, not in a late message the night before. Set out with the rest of the standards, it means no one is guessing when the doors open.
